Gwynneth Jones

 
 

Gwynneth started illustrating children’s picture books in 2014. Her first publication, 'Don’t Think About Purple Elephants', by Susan Whelan, was released in April 2015 with EK books.

'Don't Think About Purple Elephants' was shortlisted in the Australian Speech Pathology Awards 2016 and is now on the NSW Premiers Reading Challenge for 2017.

Gwynneth released 'The Sugar and Spice Collection' in October 2016, and 'The Chalk Rainbow' most recenlty in June 2017. She is currently working on 'Finding Granny' which is due early 2018.

Gwynneth has always been drawing and completed a degree in Plant and Wildlife illustration at the UoN in 1989. She exhibits often, holds market stalls, and has been a participant in the Newcastle Writers Festival kid’s program for three years. Drawing live for kids is one of her favourite things to do, and school visits are a highlight of her illustration work.
