OUR STORY

Creative Village Newcastle is the result of a creative collaboration among makers and artists in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

It is the brain child of Leah Fawthrop, founder of Colour Clouds and Creative Village Newcastle who decided it is smarter to work together than as individual artists. We are stronger as a collective, and this provides the opportunity for artists to showcase each other, and for people to shop local and to get to know the artists in their community.

It is the passion and commitment from the artists that should be admired. We often hear about our economy and mining – the goal of Creative Village is to mine the artistic resource of our local area and to provide a beautiful shopping experience. We have some fabulous plans for the future including workshops, expos and further collaborations across all disciplines so stay connected and watch this space!
